13:30 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar (Online) Stochastic processes in the early universe https://vmeeting.ipm.ir/b/ast-k3g-gaw School ASTRONOMY The theory of stochastic processes has developed very rapidly and has found application in a large number of fields; for example, the study of fluctuations and noise in the physical system, in the information theory of communication and control, in biology, in astronomy, and so on. In this talk, I will give a brief review of the mathematical tools required to describe the stochastic processes. I will discuss how the stochastic theory is used to study the quantum fluctuations during inflation. The transition from these quantum fluctuations to classical but stochastic density perturbations gives rise to the stochastic inflation formalism. The spin-orbit coupling is exclusively important for the monolayer Sb2 and it leads to the modification of the electronic band structure. In particular, plasmon modes of monolayer Sb2 are quite sensitive to the SOC and are characterized by very low damping rates, owing to small electron-phonon scatterings. Our results show how plasmons in antimonene are sig ... |
