Stochastic Ultra Slow Roll Inflation

ASTRONOMY

In this presentation, I will talk about the ultra slow-roll model in the context of stochastic inflation. Using stochastic ?N formalism, we calculate the mean number of e-folds, the power spectrum, the bispectrum, and the stochastic corrections into these observables. We reproduce correctly the known leading classical contributions to these cosmological observables while we show that the fractional corrections to cosmological observables induced from stochastic dynamics are at the order of power spectrum. In addition, we consider a hypothetical setup containing two absorbing barriers on both sides of the field configuration and calculate the ...

Metal halide perovskites

Abstract:

ABX3- type organic lead halide perovskites currently attract broad attention as light harvesters for solar cells due to their high power conversion efficiency (PCE). 3D, ABX3 structure consists of organic molecules encased in an inorganic solid frame. Their 2D counterpart has alternate insulating organic layers in between. The mixed soft-condensed matter nature of these materials triggers complex chemical and physical phenomena which calls for the use of ab initio electronic structure methods for better description. In this talk we discuss the electronic structure of ha ...

PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS

Abstract: An accurate knowledge of nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDFs) is an essential ingredient of high energy physics calculations when the processes are involving nuclei in the initial state. In this presentation, I am going to talk about our recent study of the isolated prompt photon production in p -Pb collisions at backward rapidities to find the best kinematic regions in which the experimental measurements have most sensitivity to the nuclear modifications of parton densities. Most emphasis will be placed on the antishadowing nuclear modification. To this aim, we calculate and compare various quantities at different values o ...

The Moduli Spaces of $G$-Higgs Bundles and the Nilpotent Cone

MATHEMATICS

For a non-compact reductive Lie group $G$, the notion of $G$-Higgs bundles over a compact Riemann surface $X$, of genus $g geq2$, was introduced by Hitchin (80s and 90s). These are appropriate objects for extending the non-abelian Hodge Theorem (the work of Corlette, Donaldson, Hitchin and Simpson) to representations of the fundamental group in a real reductive Lie group $G$. Motivated partially by this identifi cation, the moduli space of $G$-Higgs bundles has been extensively studied. Here we give the obstructions to a deformation retraction from the moduli spaces of $G$-Higgs bundles to the moduli space of semistable principal bundles over ...
